I drove through the Napa back roads once at sunset -- holy shit.... stellar moment in my life.

I'm currently drinking a 2002 Merlot from some local vineyards in Deming, NM, about 1.5 hrs away...

Apparently it is the 68th largest winery in the US... the local rep came last week & gave me some free samples :bounce:

I'm not big on Merlot, but this stuff is pretty good :7

Anyway, I'm thinking about carrying some of these products.

I already have a Brie, Roquefort, Smoked Cheddar & Gouda plate. Need to get some local wines in the mix... most of my stuff now is coming out of Napa.

But my all-time fave bottle of wine was a 1996 (i think) Chateau St Jean Cing Cepages. I shared it with Janis Siegel from the Manhattan Transfer in her Greenwich Village apartment. It goes for well over $100 a bottle, so I have never had it again
