Star-gazers wanted for Fuji rooms

BBC

Japan is seeking tenants with a taste for heights and solitude to take over an unusual property atop the country's tallest peak, Mount Fuji.

A building used as a weather monitoring station at the volcano's summit has lain vacant since last September.

Satellites and remote monitoring systems have replaced the scientists who used to be there all year round.

The site, which costs thousands of dollars to maintain, offers great views and would suit star-gazers.
