Who here "Knows about" stereos?
I have a self-hiding Kenwood face plate... lately it doesn't engage every time I turn the car on. It'll always play but I can't use the buttons, and the faceis blank.. any ideas?

1. I'm afraid...
that your "self-hiding" faceplate has continued on into "self-loathing", and is now ashamed to show it's face to all its co-workers on the dash. It's time for an intervention, I think.

2. My stereos get ripped off too often for me to "know about them"
I currently have an empty space in my car where my 4th stereo was stolen. I'm just a bit gun shy about getting another one.

Honestly it sounds like you need to call Kenwood. Is it possible your red and yellow wires are reversed? Does the clock keep time?
