I enjoy listening to the old "Suspense" episodes and "The Jack Benny Program."

Top my list. For Johnny Dollar, I prefer the Edmund O'Brien characterization. :)

Other favorites: It Pays To Be Ignorant, Fred Allen, Suspense, Escape!,
and Gunsmoke.

7. There was once this radio show about space ships and shit
back in the 70's.

I can't for the life of me remember the name.

When Star Wars was all the rage, it was out.

9. Do you mean, "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" perhaps?
It started on BBC radio in 1978 and caught on here awful fast. :)

"This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays."

"I've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side. I mean I've asked for them to be replaced, but no one ever listens."

The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't.
