Give me some N names...
Edited on Tue Apr-12-05 01:31 PM by 4_Legs_Good
I'm gonna have a baby to name in the next couple weeks, and we still haven't decided on a freaking name.

Right now the frontrunner is Matthew and the middle name is definitely Carter (after a certain Nobelauriate we all know).

His brother is Nathan, which we're very happy with. Another N name would be fun, but it's not necessary.

We were thinking Nicholas, but one of the backstreet boys or something is named Nick Carter, though by the time the kid grows up that probably won't matter, plus who really cares about a middle name.

Thoughts?

This will (almost certainly) be our last...

david

Edit: Editing out some stupidity

2. Call him Matthew.
That way, you'll never be the creepy couple on the block whose children's names all start with the same letter.

18. Now that's a good point...
but with only 2 kids, it shouldn't be THAT freaky...

Matthew is good, but apparently it's the #4 most popular name right now that's a bit too popular for us, though it's still a frontrunner.

11. My wife liked that one
Nickolai. I vetoed it.

Not sure why, but you know, you just get these feelings about names. We both have VETO power. She's shot down a bunch of mine too...

Nathan really clicked for us one day, but nothing has for #2. Of course we have about 10,000 good girl names, if only the ultrasound was wrong.

No, I'm excited, but the first 2 weeks are soooo hard. I expect they'll be 20x as hard with a 2 year old running around too.

:hi: It ends with an N. If he's the last, his name will end with an end...while your first's starts with an "n". :hi:

that's actually a good boy's name that wears well into adulthood. Nobody will make the connection with the BSB.

PS My gf's teddy bear was named Nicholas, and he was a fine fellow indeed.

31. Yeah, I thought of that too...
but the wife vetoed that idea.

I certainly will post pics once I regain conciousness after the delivery. The last one was harder on me (emotionally at least) than it was on my wife. Within hours she was thinking about what she would do differently with the next one, and all I could say was

"The NEXT ONE?????"
