GOPBasher will vote to confirm Michael Bolton as an actual musician, sources close to the annoying internet persona said today. In a brief telephone interview, the source -- who wishes to remain nameless due to an "overwhelming embarrassment of being friends with a guy who supports Michael Bolton" -- said, "GOPBasher has decided to give the music industry to benefit of the doubt here, as is the general precedent in our nation. He'll vote to confirm him. However, he claims that this is not an endorsement of Mr. Bolton himself, as the singer 'fucking sucks beyond earthly imagination.'"

During a debate on the house floor, Mr. Basher said that Mr. Bolton is an "unequivocal piece of horseshit. I rather hear the sound of a nuclear explosion than his rendition of 'When a Man Loves a Woman.'" It did not seem to the President's supporters that he would eventually agree to confirm the singer.
