Oh, Lordy: Return of the (LOUD) old fashion big ben style alarm clock!

Some one posted on the new "clocky," the clock that moves and forces you to find it for those who can't wake to the even increasing little digital beep beep beep type alarms.

Well, I'm here to tell you that those old time wind up BIG BEN type clocks with the dual bells will wake the dead! It's been a long time since i used one and I've been increasingly been doing all kinds of tricks to try to not sleep so heavy (leaving one light on, leaving the radio-AAR streaming on all night, setting multiple alarms,etc.) I finally went out to find one of these old type clocks ($10 bargain) and WOW! I think my neighbors must have heard it!

1. Alarms

If you put the LOUD clock where you HAVE to get out of bed to shut it off, you won't be able to reach over, hit the snooze and go back to sleep.

2. I remember using one of these in college dorm and so anticipated

that loud startling ring that my subconscious started to anticipate it within seconds of it going off. My room mate used to say I would jump out of the top bunk and be across the room to shut it off before it even rang, then back into the bunk for a couple seconds more--YET not once do I remember doing this! But, the effort must have started to wake me, because I would wake up shortly afterwards.
