3. Are you stuck in a time warp 180. Or are you watching TV Land?
My grandfather would never miss one his shows. He'd come by for dinner every sunday and Ma & Dad had to entertain with with Lawrence Welk.
Are the Lennon Sisters on?

5. KETC channel 9, what passes for a PBS station in St Louis,

6. We get reruns of Lawrence Welk on Saturday at 5pm here on PBS
I gotta admit if I pass by it, I do stop and watch a few minutes. It reminds me of watching it as a kid with my grandparents--now they are gone, but I get a good feeling when I see it because Welk did bring them alot of joy--they talked about times they even danced to his band in person, and occassionally while watching on tv they would get up and do a lovely dance together in their living room.

7. Because...
...Anacani sang something in Spanish?
...Bobby and Cissy kicked up their heels?
...Arthur Duncan flailed away?
...Joanne Castle didn't play any dixieland piano?
...That Feeney guy didn't sing Danny Boy?

All reasons for a great Welk show, IMHO.

11. I like LW because it's such a pop-culture artifact. I guess.
Plus, as someone else mentioned, it reminds me of more "innocent" times.
