Poll question: Greatest openly gay rocker of all time?
Edited on Sun Apr-10-05 05:54 PM by jandrok
Yeah, I've probably missed a few folks, and I know that Erasure and the Village People aren't exactly rockers, but they were influential enough that I felt they warranted incluson.

But more to the point of the poll...which of my gay brothers and sisters gets to be crowned as the one who BRUNG IT night after night? Who cranked out the tuneage that kept our toes tapping, and in some cases, our heads banging?

9. No one can touch Freddie.
Fred could write lyrics, songs and music that rocked, was very campy and very sentimental. Also who could hold a live audience in the palm of their hand the way he did?

11. Elton John and Freedy Mercury.
Although Elton waffled a bit during to 70's he finally came out and and committed.
