Describe one rethug you know personally.....
not a famous one... you mustn't include a name

The husband of a friend of mine is a smirking, cowboy boot wearing, tobacco chewing (he lives in Va. Beach, Va.... not Texas), chinese SKS owning republican....
Who said that Mark Warner wasn't a "real man" because he doesn't wear cowboy boots and chew tobacco and therefore couldn't be president, where as George Allen was all of those things and more.
I asked.... "does that mean that you would NEVER support a republican woman for president?
He wouldn't answer.

He also didn't have anything to say when I told him that the VANRA had endorsed warner for gov.

1. From the way you describe him...
Well, up here in NJ, we have a word we use for people like that:

Jerkoff.

Do you have a word like that down there, too? ;-)

2. My aunt.
I was over at my mom's house last week and CNN was on about Terri Shiavo. She scowled at the T.V. and said she couldn't believe that "they" were killing her and then said "What is wrong with this country? It's SICK what this country is coming to!"

3. 20 year old drunk ass college student
looks like he is still fighting a battle with acne, struts around like a bantam cock, cruises through town in his dad's (the judge) H2 w/ the "Annoy a Lie-brul" bumper sticker while trying to pick up 15 year old girls at the local Sonic (since some of them are still shorter than him), quoting Ayn Rand and listening to Jessica Simpson. His favorite game is to advise everyone on their job as good citizens-which is to be finacial responsible and to serve their country. When asked why he must depend on his father for support, he states that as long as he is studying he should never have to worry. When asked why he is not serving in our armed forces he states that he must be extempt because he is the only son.

6. He tried dispatching for a whole month.
He couldn't hack it-had Daddy come down and yell at us about the way we treated his son. Now he does not have to work until he finishes all of his education.
Mom and Dad pay for his education, his apartment, utilities, groceries, insurance, gas, phone, internet, cable, give him a clothing allowance (monthly) and give him an "entertainment" allowance.

BTW-he's a poli sci major. Just look at the future of our country.

7. He sounds like type of person who would criticise the poor...
...for "being lazy".

He's going to be a failure, mommy and daddy will always be there to bail him out. He can't possibly learn to succeed on his own if his parents treat him like that.

8. He was originally an education major
(he heard that it was easy) but had to spend time at Head Start. He said that he was afraid that he would bring home lice w/ him or that they would touch him w/ their dirty little hands.
He actually told me this story the first day I met him. I hope that he is a failure in life.

10. having everything paid for doesn't always make one a spoiled person
well, to be fair, my parents are paying for everything you mentioned and i'm a history and politics major.
but i drive a civic and have an hrc and tim kaine for governor stickers.
i've been fortunate to have experienced just how hard my parents have worked their whole lives (both of them had two full time jobs back in the day) so i guess that's why i don't consider myself spoiled. i mean, i've gotten a lot of the things i've asked for throughout my life, but i've also restrained myself a lot from asking because i always felt bad about asking for big-ticket items.
one of my roommates is a federal judge's son and a hardcore republican/dumb-as-bricks typical spoiled rich kid who always needs to get his way. not to mention he actually, truly believes that faux news is fair and balanced. thankfully my other roommate is a pot-smoking lib who likes to get in fights with him, so things aren't too bad in my corner of the fraternity house...

11. I was a sorority girl too.
Not all are spoiled. The person I stated is a perfect example of someone who is not only spoiled, but the point of the post-a Republican.

5. Two Republican women...
Edited on Sun Apr-10-05 08:36 AM by tjdee
they go to my church, and they're both charming, witty, and 'bubbly' without being obnoxious.

But they're also...fundie-ish, which explains the Republicanism. They were both raised Catholic I think, and they switched over to regular Christianity at some point, very conservative Christianity. One of them was so excited about the election, and went around saying "Look how we did with the popular vote!" :puke:

And their being Republican probably also explains why one of them doesn't know how to cook (one doesn't know how to separate an egg, and she's twice my age). :silly:

I really like them both though--and we live in Jersey, so I view their political views as (mostly) harmless.

9. Tall, slender Republican banker,
Edited on Sun Apr-10-05 08:53 AM by Ilsa
a woman. Having lunch with her one day and someone at the table told her, "Hyacinth, I didn't know you were Jewish."

She looked surprised and asked him, "What do you mean?"

He said, "Well, I noticed you were wearing the Star of David on a chain around your neck. It's a very pretty gold piece, by the way."

She looked really embarassed and blushed and said, "No I'm Baptist."

Apparently, she just thought it was a pretty trinket. I never saw her wear it again.

I was in college with her. She made better grades than me in some classes, but she never remembered anything outside class. She always asked really stupid, rudimentary questions about finance (pre-Principles of Finance - type stuff) at lunch, etc.

12. My elderly aunt voted for Bush in 2004 because Monica Lewinsky...
... had sex with Clinton in 1998. Sex is so icky, she says, it's something Bush would never do. And no one is stopping Monica from having more sex! My aunt is not religious at all but loves that nonexistent (for her) tax cut. She pays no fed tax because her income is close to zero, thanks to Greenspam, but she still loves Bush because he hates sex.

13. My parents are friends with this guy from Texas
He owns an 11 acre orchard up here and visits about once a month. He's from India originally. Really, aside from being a Bushie... he's a hell of a nice guy.
