Sad Hospice story. (son in Iraq)

I got a call earlier tonight from the wife of a patient who was told he had 48 hours to live (from yesterday). She told me one of our nurses would be getting a call from the Red Cross verifying how serious the patient's condition was so they could pass along the message to the Army. Her son is in Iraq and doesn't know the latest news on his father. Depressing, huh?

4 hours later. He just passed away. :(

That's so sad Blondie. It's hard to receive news like that when you're far away from home !
