I just spent my $50 gift certificate at Barnes and Noble...
I got 3 great books. Lewis Black's "Northing's Sacred" George Lakoff's "Don't Think of an Elephant" and Mark Kurlansky's "1968: The Year That Rocked the World"
I take partial credit for recommending Lewis Black's book. :D
I haven't read Mark Kurlansky's 1968 book, but I recently bought it. I love his books (both Salt and Cod are great). I read everything about 1968 because it was the year I was born (and was a fascinating time in history). :D
thanks for steering me in the right direction. When I saw him the other night on the Daily Show I couldn't wait for the weekend so I could go out and buy the book.
Everything I've heard about 1968 (the book, not the year) was very good, plus I'm obsessed with the 60's and RFK (in case you didn't notice :P) So now my only dilemma is choosing what book to read first
