What's the worst movie you've seen recently?
For some reason, I decided to watch Napoleon Dynamite last night.

Just terrible. The main characters were so dull, and the movie wasn't even close to funny. I found it to be a depressing, odd collection of characters.

What are some of your recent "shouldn't have bothered" films?

14. It was kind of like a big chill babyboomer movie
Except it didn't have good music, was boring and slow, the characters led sad pathetic lives and were unlikeable. It might appeal to middle aged people who have never accomplished their dreams in life and use alcohol as an escape, but I couldn't stand it.

4. Yep, Napoleon Dynamite was awful
Although my preteen kids loved it and can quote every line. :eyes:

Dodgeball was also stupid.

We watched Closer last Sunday night. Lots of eye candy for all, but I hated all the characters.

7. I felt the same way about Napoleon Dymnamite the first time I saw it
But my brother got the dvd for xmas, and I watched it then. I thought it was hilarious.

As for me, the worst movies I've seen lately have been The Grudge and The VIllage.

8. "Vanity Fair"
With Reese Witherspoon. I thought I would watch a well made film based on a literary classic. I knew it wouldn't be fast paced excitement...but "Vanity Fair" was sooooooooooooo slooooooooooooowwwww. I felt like it would be sometime next week before the thing would be over. Extraordinarily tedious.

9. Tierra
Directed by Julio Medem. Most of the best movies I've seen in the past year since getting Netflix have been foreign, but this bascially epitomized the pretentious, quasi-profound stereotype many hold of foreign movies. I haven't seen so much ham-fisted symbolism since The Princess and the Warrior.

And Napolean Dynamite was flippin' sweet.

All I can say is... thank gawd it was free. :o

Mind numbingly dull plot with obnoxious, self-centered characters. I bet they were all republicans.
