2. Glad I don't have to pay for it . . .
My company will -- I don't use a tenth of the features in PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign (and probably less than half in Acrobat), but Oh, that tenth! I can't live without it.

3. I'll stick with the older versions,
they run on System 9.

4. Also, the upgrade for just Photoshop CS2 (without the rest of the
suite) is $149 from any previous version of Photoshop. That's a hell of a deal if, like me, you have an old license for 6.0 or something kicking around.

I plan on buying the upgrade as soon as it comes out.

5. I made the mistake of buying the component upgrades one at a time...
...so I don't get the "suite" discount, even though I own everything in the Suite (although I have Acrobat Standard, not Pro).

We also need to recognize the fact that if Adobe is doing this, it's almost a GUARANTEE that Macromedia will be unleashing "MX 2005"...new versions of Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks...Freehand too, probably, but I think they've lost that particular battle. I know a lot of Adobe Illustrator users, but know very few Freehand users.

6. Photoshop is all I really ever use or need though.
I don't really use the other products ever. The only one I do use is Acrobat, and I really don't see a need to upgrade that, as I don't use any of the advanced features, I just use it for quick PDF creation on the fly (which I can actually get freeware to do).

If I needed the other products, I'd be right there with you getting the suite, but I don't really need it :).
