"The Simpsons" really sucks now..

I watched tonights episode, Springfield gets a concert hall, Mr. Burns turns it into a jail, Homer is arrested and becomes a prison snitch. Really, FOX needs to pull the feeding tube from this show. It's in a persistent vegetative state and needs to pass on.

I love the show and still watch it but after 16 years, there's little more it has to offer. It's still funny sometimes but enough is enough.

I can't help but think it has gotten better. Sure you have some weak seasons in over 10 years. But I think the show got more political and had more clever social commentary after the first few years.

and I think that this season has been better than in previous years (though I wouldn't call it the best).... Their attacks on a whole bunch of right-wing thingies has made this one better.

And besides, could you imagine how much the quality would decline on any other show had it been on for 16 years?
