1. My cats are prisoners too, and today they are stir crazy!
the birds are chirping, and it's so warm and sunny! I bet they wish they were out hunting!

2. My cats would *kill* to be able to swipe a dog's snout.
Now dogs are just specks--very noisy specks--on the sidewalk below.

4. My cat Reno likes dogs-my neighbor has brought her Lab over
and they were fine together.

Noah runs and hides under the bed.

3. Three of my formerly strictly indoor cats are roaming at will today.
The first lovely day of Spring. I can't wait to get home and hear all about their day. :bounce:

12. Are those the nonferal ones?
I'm sorry to say I haven't been keeping fully up on your feline adventures.

13. Forty lashes with a wet noodle, BurtWorm. Keep up! ;-)
The three who are out today, Daddy, Harry, and Richard, are indeed non-feral. We're not letting the semi-adopted semi-socialized semi-feral ones back out until they have been spayed. :scared:

5. You put 'em there!
Cats are free-roaming animals. Why get them if you cannot let them out?

8. Because if I didn't get them, they'd be ashes in an incinerator by now.

Poor little city critters. I wish they would create cat-runs in the parks. They could screen them in.

14. What a great idea!
It would be awfully hard to keep them away from the front door after they'd had a couple of trips out, though.

17. If cat runs ...
... mean less concrete, then I'm all for it. I like cats. According to my mother, my first words were "pretty kitty." I know it is a personal preference, but cats have personality while dogs are just so needy for attention.

18. My cats aren't in a concrete environment, but I think they'd love
to be able to climb trees and run around in the grass, and I'd love it if the "trees" were short enough that I could easily rescue them.

6. when I lived there (back when the planet was still cooling)
my kitty liked to knock the half screen out and plummet from the fifth to the fourth floor neighbor's balcony below (75th between Amsterdam & Columbus). Miss Edith would come bang on the door and say my cat was messing up her empty wine bottles again and would I mind coming to get her.

I think Miss Edith was luring her down because she was lonely - she was a silent film star back in her day before they started making talkies.

okay that was sui's showtime short.

7. Very Sunset Blvd...
If our cats knocked out the screen they'd wind up being part of West End Ave.

9. My cats are home waiting for me to come home
so I can take them out on the patio tonight. They are probably looking through the patio door at the birds and squirrels at my feeders.

15. My kitties too
Cosmo is sitting on the dining room table looking out the window at the birds in the tree in the back yard.

Millie is asleep on my bed, with Siouxsie right beside her.

10. It's better than them being in a cage or in a dumpster.
They've got a little space, some windows, and love from you! They're happy kitties!

11. They are, actually, very happy kitties.
There's plenty in the apartment to fascinate them endlessly. Buster's hobbies include mining dust under the stove and refrigerator and pigeon-watching. Perfect is a student of water cascading down shower curtains, and she also enjoys climbing book cases and napping atop them.
