"The Fight Club" was based in the city of Wilmington.

But from the places where I'm looking it's about 1500-2500/yr. We're tax free because of all the corporations that are incorporated here. We're the Bermuda of the United States when it comes to favorable tax rates.

27. What's the big stink about tollbooths?
I mean, every state on the East Coast has them and btw - Maryland has one on 95 - I don't see anyone bitching about Maryland. To be honest, we don't have that many toll booths in Delaware: 1 for the Delaware Memorial Bridge (but all the bridges connecting PA-Nj have tolls), one on 95 and a few coin baskets on the new turnpike that connects Northern DE to the beaches.

That's it - that's all. But Maryland has a 1-way toll on 95 that's like $5 and they have tunnel tolls which are part of 95 - but that's ok.

Here's an interesting fact: If you know DE well, you can easily bypass the DE turnpike tolls on 95. But if you try bypassing MD's 95 toll - you end up paying another toll on the alternative route (and it's a bridge - so there aren't many other choices for crossing over that river)

And MBNA isn't the only credit card company in Delaware

:grr:

Connecticut doesn't have any tollbooths. Neither does Vermont. Or Rhode Island.

So it ain't every state in the Northeast.

Know how to avoid the toll, too, but I don't do it; the toll is worth it compared to the pain of increasing your time in delaware. Besides, the route to Elkton takes me past the house of an old girlfriend I'd rather not think about.
