I have ALWAYS had dish-towels from my mother. She always sends me some - perhaps every other xmas.

But tonight I was at Whole Foods and found some nice dish-towels I really liked. Sort of industrial looking, with red stripes. Mom always sends lame ones with pictures of hot-air balloons or cats or something affixed.

Sorry Mom - I'm a grownup now.

3. Only if they fall in with a bad crowd...
*ba-da bump!*

Seriously, ladies and germs... yes, they do. You wash 'em enough they become rags.

4. It's funny the things we never buy for ourselves.
I've never bought potholders, candles or a vase for flowers. My grandma gave me two nice sets of potholders and I've gotten the other things as gifts often enough that I haven't ever felt the need to buy them. I have a whole cabinet full of vases.

5. yup
I have many vases, but only one I bought myself, just 'cuz I liked it. The rest were either gifts or vases that flowers others sent me came in.
