PhotoBucket Question

Do I understand correctly that one has to have a premium account to upload pictures off of their computer to PhotoBucket?

You should be able to sign up for a free account with them, and upload pics, no problem. At least, as far as I know, since that's what I have...

I use photobucket to post pics here occasionally and never had to pay for the pleasure. :shrug:

When I went to My Account, the option was to link a pic from a URL. Maybe I missed something. I'll look again.

7. Don't go to "My Account".

When you log in, just look for the "Upload" button. There is also a "View" button to see what pictures you already have there.

I thought URL meant web site address. Apparently it doesn't, on PhotoBucket. I figured it out.

9. I've wondered the same thing....

glad you brought this up because I can't do any of the E-Z "post a picture in my post" E-Z instructions from the DUers. I'm starting to think it's because I'm on AOL :shrug:

When I go to My Album, there is a window with the message Add Picture From URL. Then, I click browse and go to the folder on my computer with the pics in it. Double clicking on the chosen pic automatically puts its address on your hard drive in the window. Then, click on submit.

12. Try this

You may be using the address of the picture on your hard drive in your DU posts? You need to use the address that Photobucket assigns to your pic after uploading it.

Click on the picture you want to put on DU. When the pic comes up, right click on the pic. A pop up menu will appear with Properties on it. Left click on properties. A properties window will pop up. In that window will be PhotoBucket's web site address of the pic, i.e., http://photobucket/bla bla bla.

Hold down your left mouse button and move your cursor over the address to highlight it. Then, right click on it and choose Copy from the the pop up menu.

Finally, come to DU, right click in your post, and choose Paste from the pop up menu.

Voila! The address will appear in your post and the picture will be shown.

Sounds complicated, but it is really easy once you get used to it.
