I probably have a dozen threads I started with zero responses in the archives...

16. I have a few with zero replies, too. :)

I think it's mostly a function of how large the forum is. I'm extremely sensitive, so it can sometimes feel like a slap in the face.

However, the thinking part of me doesn't think it's a slap in the face. There are many factors involved:

-The sheer number of people on DU. It's easy for posts to get overlooked.

-Maybe the post doesn't interest anyone who's online NOW. Had I waited awhile or posted sooner, it might have elicited a response.

-Every once in awhile I post something that really isn't terribly interesting. So what? I'm allowed to make mistakes.

(Now watch. This will be the final post in the thread. hehe)
