I don't feel like showering today, is that a sin.
And I shower religiously every day.

I barely felt like getting out of bed this morning...

The problem is, I do have to go out soon, so maybe I should put on some clean clothes and brush my teeth...

Or maybe I should just go take a nap...

:boring:

5. here's my view
if you're going out, shower. If you're staying in, who cares? Be a slug for a day. It wont hurt anyone.

13. Maybe I will go take a quick one, at least to wash my hair...
My hair get really flat and oily if I don't wash it every day.

6. I almost hate to admit this
but about three years ago I started showering every other day (ooh I feel so French!). Water is too precious of a resource to waste on a shower every day. I just wet down my hair on the off days.

8. I shower every other day too. But I think my water savings are offset by
the fact that when I do dishes (every other week..Ok, not really but almost) I can't stand to rinse in a pan of water so I run the tap on them. I am beginning to wonder if a decent dishwasher wouldn't save more on water compared to that. (And then, too, I wonder how I will ever afford a house I can put a dishwasher in. *g*)

10. Me too
I've always been an every-other-day shower-er, unless I'm getting really dirty or sweaty. I don't smell bad, I don't feel dirty, and my hair is actually nicer when I don't wash the natural oils away every day. If that makes me gross in some people's minds, so be it!

15. I noticed significant hair improvement too
I live in a desert climate (Denver) and cutting the showers completely healed my dry scalp problems.

11. I'm the same way...
...except during the summer. Showering every day dries out my skin. In the summertime it gets so hot and humid here that I sometimes end up showering twice a day.

9. Naw
Showerin' is for suckers. You don't need to shower everyday, that's a myth perpetuated by soap companies, I tells ya!

I am very often too lazy to shower, and only do it a few times a week. Unless I actually work out, then I cleanse myself immediately after.

I make sure to shower at least three times a week - my skin has a hard time handling more unless I'm working out - I don't know how it works - -. I at least wash up from the sink if I don't. I don't want to turn into a hippie completely.

18. depends
if you go out then you should probably shower.

did you work out or do anything else involving a lot of physical activity that could result in sweat since the last shower ? if so then you should shower.

if you don't go out and have mostly been inactive then it might be ok to go without a day of showering. but you do have to brush your teeth.

20. NO...when I was growing up it was common to take...
...one bath or shower a week, and no one noticed.

Actually, you will find that taking a shower every other day or every 3 days eliminates many dry skin problems and scalp problems. That saves you on unctions used to combat those.

It also saves a ton of waste water going into the sewage plant or septic tank, as well as energy and money used to heat hot water.

Simply wash your face and armpits each morning when not showering.

22. Too late, I already gave in and brushed my teeth and showered
thus saving me the guilt of bad personal hygene...

Now the question is, should I shave?

24. "the guilt of bad personal hygene...(sic)"
...is something that has been marketed to you over the years by hygiene products manufacturers. Think about that awhile.

"bad personal hygene (sic)" is relative, and they have done a great job of jacking up the bar on it. It means cash to them.
