How many pets would you like to have?
If your life situation now permitted you to have as many as you wanted, how many would you choose?

And would you choose cats, dogs, ...?

1. lots
i currently have one dog, three cats and a tortoise. But given space and free time, I'd have a couple more dogs, some fish, a goat or two and some ducks.

15. Well..... you will just have to wait until one dies
In a way it is harsh to say that but I know when one or both of mine die that I will look for another. They are GOOD companions!!

I got my first one 2 years ago when she was 9 mos old. A couple of months ago I adopted a 7 year to keep Zipper company. I expect Nikki to die first if they live to old age and nothing unusual happens. Maybe 7 years or so. Zipper to live another 12+ years.

When it happens I will adopt like I did this year.

3. I'd have a damn zoo.
I've had cats, birds, frogs, turtles and fish.
No dogs but would love one.
I'm probably going to wind up like the cat lady on the Simpsons.

6. As many cuddly pups as my bed could hold!
A few cats with attitude to keep the dogs in line, a corral of 2or 3 spirited, but gentle horses, and maybe a jersey milk cow in the back pasture ('love those brown brown doe eyes).

Any more and I'd need 24/7 caretakers, I think. And, I want to be THE one they all look forward to seeing each day!

I've 3 cats and a horse. My mom had a Jersey cow from the Biltmore (NC) herd when she was a girl. I want a Jersey cow, a white Geman shepherd (I had the best ever: Maggie), a pound dog, and my cats and another horse for my friends to ride. My husband wants a Pug and a bird. I want chickens too!

18. Do you know how much room just 2 small dogs take up in a bed?
My poodles are 5# and they don't move easy once they are planted.

Now that you mention it I remember those eyes from my childhood times at my grandparents farm.

My poodles are either there waiting for me or running to me when I come home. They go nuts wanting their belly rubs and attention from their Daddy. They do NOT for my son... best they do is bark at him.

27. So cute...
I used to breed parakeets and I had a cockatiel. I had to give all my birds away when my father had his kidney transplant. I still miss them.

Now, I don't really have the money for a parrot & my downstairs neighbor is deranged and flips out when my cats move around, so I doubt she'd appreciate a bird.

She'll have to deal with it for a few days though because I'm birdsitting my coworkers Green-Cheeked Conure next month.
