Update on my dad, GreenLantern
He was in surgery from 5pm to midnight last night. They repaired 5 hernias, including the strangulated one, which they removed and resected the bowel where it was located.

As of 7:30 this morning he was still sounding very groggy but was up and walking around his hospital room. The doctors expect him to recover just fine. (Next week is school vacation week, so I think the kids and I may go stay with him since he'll need someone there with him.)
