DAAAAMN...MSNBC slams Pedro. Talk amongst yourselves.
http://msnbc.com/news/980520.asp?0cv=CB20

WITH EVERYTHING AT STAKE for his team, Martinez has elected to sit in the dugout and watch the fourth best pitcher in Boston’s rotation try to keep his team alive in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series at Yankee Stadium while the ace of the staff rests.

snip

Martinez will not start Wednesday on short rest because his team believes he is too fragile to face the Yankees with less than four days to relax his soup bone. This may be today’s definition of an ace, but some people might call him a joker.

1. If his Mgr. thinks that he's not ready and could be inneffective...

then why would they start him and take a chance of him not pitching well, or injuring himself making him unavailable for future games, if neccesary.
Whoever wrote that story is either an idiot, yankee fan, or someone who just doesnt know shit about baseball.

2. not being able to occasionally pitch on three day's rest...
...can be an indication of fragility, like the writer said. Pedro's never been one to every try and tough it out.

3. Pedros an ass and a spoiled pampered "star"
he's babied all year by management, kept on a low pitch count because his arm might go at anytime, and is just a poor sport who hasn't been the same since the Sox let his brother go.

And I'm a Sox fan.

Hey Oakland, want to trade for Hudson?

5. He's right
Clemens would have taken the ball. He would now with 3 days rest if the Yankees needed him and he's 41.
