Many of the great baseball heroes of the past, such as Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth, were drunks. Look at all the home runs they hit.

Hell, Babe Ruth was fat. I think he hit all those home runs just to avoid having to run the bases. I know that's why I used to hit home runs. :P

Forget playing baseball on steroids. Can you imagine playing a game in the blazing sun, wearing a cotton uniform, while suffering from a hangover?

Coincidentally, BTW. Their pre game parties were legendary. At times, Kenny Stabler and friends would party through the night, right into game day. As a youngster, I always admired that. To me, they were America's team.

I have a point to make about steroids. Let me preface my comment by saying eveything anybody does is not about sending a message to the dang children!

Anyway, if your teenager is using steroids, you really need to look into where and how he gets it, and realize he's abusing some very dangerous drugs.

AND (no I'm not quite done) you need to do your job as a parent, and keep a closer eye on his goings on!

7. For all the talk of Ruth being fat

Height 6' 2", Weight 215 lb.
Dude I weigh around than that, I am 3 inches smaller and I am on the rebound from losing weight. Also for all the talk of Ruth being slow, he actually stole quite a few bases, granted his SB/CS ratio was around 50% but he wasnt like Cecil Fielder. Sorry I am a nerd but Lewis ir right, Babe and the Mick were drunks, I think Josh Gibson, the Babe Ruth of the Negro Leagues also drank.
