my GAWD I'm in a foul mood today....

I yelled at my department chair, walked out of a committee meeting with the dean, and JUST BARELY managed to be civil with my students. I'm really tired-- that always takes my mood down a couple of notches. I'm skipping a faculty reception tonight-- the thought of spending more time talking about the same shit that's making me crazy is just too much to bear.

Time to go home, have a glass of wine, and visit with my cats for a while. It's times like this when I really understand the value of living alone-- I would be an insufferable grump to be around tonight!
