Does anyone still play Everquest?

I haven't played in years. I know there is an EQII out and people are getting into it.

I remember I had some pretty fun times with EQ.

I wonder how many users the original game still has.

..I would love to be playing EQ2.

But my system just doesn't have the resources to run it. I will get a new video card and some more ram when I can afford it, though, and after I do that my 1.5ghz processor should handle it okay. With this cheap ass video card and only 256meg of ram I am running right now, though, no EQ2 for me. :cry:

My mains are one High Elf Fury and a Dark Elf Shaman (betrayed to Qeynos).

Got a 29 Rat Conjuror (betrayed to Qeynos) on Highkeep, along with:

23 Wood Elf Ranger
20 Troll Shadowknight
17 Gnome Summoner (in process of betraying Qeynos to FP to be a necro)
and 3 more lower level toons there, plus 4 on Test Server.

7. Tried playing EQ once.

It wasn't that thrilling. I have played FFXI for almost 2 years now. Solid gameplay, great visuals, and unlike WoW it has a good end-game, with lots to do.
