4. I just went through this.

I looked around at www.cheaptickets.com (I think they have the best prices). Then I went over to the airline that had the lowest price and the time I wanted and I got the flight for a few bucks cheaper. So I think if you use one of those sites to find options, you can get the price the same, or lower at the airline of your choice. :)

I've found CheapTickets.com to be pretty good. For any itenerary any of these places provides, just make sure you have plenty of time between flights if you have to switch.
