4. That's good to know. I was starting to wonder. Not just lack of
replies to my posts, but just this weird floaty dicombobulated sensation of unreality has come over me. I think I must need more sleep.

5. I can relate
My posts usually get ignored, too. :dunce:

I'm actually just getting up myself. Had a VERY long day yesterday-- spent 8:00 AM -- 3:00 PM hanging with a bunch of techno-geek Dems trying to get our state party's technology into the 21st century, then raced off to do the PA and sound for a friend's birthday party. Finally finished around 2:00 AM. Slept until noon, at breakfast, then fell asleep on the couch until 3:00.

Now I'm working on a new web membership application for my state's PDA chapter, which needs to get done within the next week. No rest for the wicked I guess....

6. You are here, and I'm glad to see you.

Our electricity was off all day until just now, and I missed you!

9. The power company had to turn it off to upgrade something.

It was supposed to be off for 5 hours, which turned out to be 8 hours. I'm in a 12-story senior building, so people who use wheelchairs and walkers and were on the top floors were just stuck there unless they'd gotten out first. We had 3 notices, starting weeks ago, but apparently some people ignored them.

I've got a little alcohol stove to make tea, and a battery-operated radio, so the only thing I missed was the computer. Besides, I'm on the 2nd floor, so I can go up and down the stairs easily. I was offered 3 apartments when I moved in, and the other two were on the top floors. It wasn't long after 9/11, so I instinctively chose the lowest floor offered. It turned out to be a good choice.

Hugs back atcha!

10. Glad you were ok. Hope your upstairs neighbors were all right too. Me,
I am with you. No top floor living if I ever wind up in a city. (Which is doubtful. I like my country living, even if I have to live in a trailer to get it. :) )
