Who on earth would name a grocery store.......
Ralph's?

Sounds like an offering to the Porcelain God.

Oh yeah - they're on strike. Another reason to keep one's stomach contents intact by going to Trader Joes or the farmers market or whatever.

:silly:

11. On the south side of Milwaukee
On the south side of Milwaukee, there is a small butcher shop called Becher Street Meat Market. It was renamed because the neighborhood residents didn't like the original name, Becher Meat.

12. Trader Joe's......
isn't that just the BEST grocery store ever? I always liked Mrs. Gooch's when we lived in Santa Monica. Someone told me they were bought out by someone.

16. Once again, Arkansas tops 'em all!
Several years ago, there was a small chain here called

The Mad Butcher.

Yes, their mascot was a wild-eyed, frizzy-haired type dressed in a spattered smock, hoisting a meat cleaver. Each TV commercial ended with Eville Laughter, a la Vincent Price.

It was a grocery store near here. How's that for a name? It was short for Bob's Market.
