3. yeah, it's one of Burton's best, IMO....

Tim Burton is such an incredible visionary director-- I think this sometimes gets lost in his animated films, because the animation itself separates the film from reality.

5. I watched it last weekend

My wife won a copy of it at an Oscar party, and we'd never seen it before. What an amazing film! I can't believe that it didn't sweep the Oscars. It's hard to find a film with a great plot, or good characters nowdays. And that doesn't even take into account Burton's directing, either!

I too have/had similar "Dad issues' to what Crudup had in the movie.
He's been gone for 5 years now and I miss him so very much.

11. First Burton film I've liked in a long time

it was great and made me call my dad!

He was just like the character in the movie. Larger than life, war hero, success at everything he did-I can't watch it again.
