3. yeah, it's one of Burton's best, IMO....
Tim Burton is such an incredible visionary director-- I think this sometimes gets lost in his animated films, because the animation itself separates the film from reality.

4. I wanted to see that film,
but I don't think I'll ever see it now, because Spaulding Gray killed himself right after he saw that film and I would be sooooo sad. :(

I miss Spaulding....

5. I watched it last weekend
My wife won a copy of it at an Oscar party, and we'd never seen it before. What an amazing film! I can't believe that it didn't sweep the Oscars. It's hard to find a film with a great plot, or good characters nowdays. And that doesn't even take into account Burton's directing, either!

7. I think its my husband's favorite
I have never seen him in 36 years of marriage react to a movie like this one.

He loved it, I think, wanting our son to finally "not be embarassed" by him.

8. Loved that movie and cried like a baby
And I NEVER cry in movies....last time I did was at the end of "Field of Dreams".

What can I say? I have daddy issues.

I too have/had similar "Dad issues' to what Crudup had in the movie.
He's been gone for 5 years now and I miss him so very much.
Ahh Shit! Here I go again!

12. Saw it about a month after my Dad died.
He was just like the character in the movie. Larger than life, war hero, success at everything he did-I can't watch it again.

13. Burton is great, but he's no Terry Gilliam See The Adventures of
Baron Munchausen... same sort of thing, but really epic in scope...
