What do all these initials stand for?
Some I've seen are IMO, ROFL, n/t etc. I'd like to think I'm PC savvy, but obviously not!

8. These acronyms came about...
... in the long-distant days of BBS messaging, when packets of messages were transmitted from point-to-point by long-distance phone. The idea was to keep the bandwidth to a minimum, thereby reducing the packet size that the BBS operator had to send on his own dime.

In addition to those already explained:

ROTFLMAO: rolling on the floor, laughing my ass off

IMHO: in my humble opinion

YMMV: your mileage may vary (might not be the same for you)

AFAIK: as far as I know

ISTR: I seem to recall

IIRC: if I recall correctly

Lots of others....

15. I remember them also on Usenet newsgroups in the '80s
which were around at least as long as BBSs. In fact, I just found IMHO (though the poster uses 'H' to mean honest instead of humble) from 1984:
