I'm psyched to be seeing Slint this weekend....
Going to one of their reunion shows in NYC. I've been listening to Spiderland non-stop. What a phenomenal album.

I haven't been able to find many reviews of the shows they've played already though so I don't know what to expect. Perhaps thats for the best.

1. Holy CRAP! Are they coming to Chicago?
Damn. I just saw Interpol, so I could use some more rock in my life.

Favorite song: "Tweeze."

2. I would assume they'll make it to Chicago...
I mean they had strong ties to that scene so I would assume.

What song is Tweeze? I know the album Tweeze, but all the songs on that are named after their parents. I didn't know they had a song of that name as well.

3. All I have of theirs are mp3's--one was tweeze.mp3, so I assumed.
I don't actually have any of their stuff on CD. Just downloads.

4. Ah....I see....
Actually that album it's hard to tell a lot of the songs apart since they tend to flow together in an almost jammy way. So maybe whoever was tagging the mp3's just decided to call it that. I've had that album for years and I still can't tell any of the songs apart or their names.

I haven't bought a song from a store or site in years and years. I only buy a disc if I go to a club and really dig the band. If they're touring, I try to buy a shirt, too. But never, ever retail.

And here is what I'm doing next week:

Slint on tour!
03.24.2005 Metro - Smart Bar Chicago

03.25.2005 Metro - Smart Bar Chicago

03.26.2005 Park West Chicago
