Hey Cubs fans--tell me about your curse!

I've heard something about it--did someone make that up, or is there a curse like there is for the Red Sox?

Just wanna know.

5. Billy Goats curse was pretty potent.

It was an actual greek curse. His son made several attempts to lift it, bringing goats to Wrigley a few times.
I think the reversals past didn't work becuase it wasn't an honest attempt, but a PR stunt for the Billy Goat tavern, the eatery made famous by John Belushi and Bill Murray on SNL ("Cheezeborger Cheezeborger, no fries, chips.")
There is no guarentee that this reversal will work either. The curse claimed Wrigley Field would never see another World Series, and that hasn't happened yet.
I do believe in this attempt by our three heroic fans and their goat "Virgil Homer" this year for several reasons.
1. It was a true fan effort, not a PR stunt.
2. The transferrance of the curse to another team probably takes less mystic effort than a complete nullification.
3. Those guys were computer techs, and looked like they were probably old school D&D'ers. If anyone can write their own curses and spells, it would be the knights of the dinner table.

Let's get Virgil Homer to throw ou the first pitch, and then our only worry left should be keeping the black cats out of the ballpark tonight.
