5. I suspect he's skipping it every Monday to punish CBS
for making him have the latest Survivor loser on every week. He has intern Stephanie tell the exact same inane anecdote every Monday during the Survivor segment as well, which bespeaks a certain lack of respect for the network and/or Survivor.

Then again, the archive indicates that he skips it fairly often:
