23. Congratulations
I second the comment about coming here first if you think about having a drink. I'll be without drink for 9 years on the 25th of this month. Clarity of mind is only a fraction of the gift. Keep it up, one second, one minute, one day at a time.

26. Another very nice thing
Your eyes will be beautiful.

As you clear up and clean out your eyes will return to their their crystal clear pre-alcohol color. No more foggy eyes from the inside or outside.

Get ready for people to look you in the eye - I get compliments on my eye color all the time.

Take these little mile stones and hold on to them...things you never realized before, and hold them close,

Good Luck
One day at a time for 15 years...

31. Congrats to you datasuspect. Thank you believing that life is
worth living sober.:loveya: :yourock:

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success. " - Ralph Waldo Emerson

42. Read this book and quit forever, not just one day at a time.
"Rational Recovery: The New Cure for Substance Addiction" by Jack Trimpey. I sent it to someone I love and she said it saved her life. Then I bought a copy for myself and quit smoking. It's an alternative to AA and it relies on you and not a "Higher Power" to help you quit your problem for good.
