Edited on Fri Mar-11-05 09:26 PM by Rabrrrrrr
GOnna have to give up the computer for the night until I can get new glasses tomorrow.

Damn.

Makes my head hurt to look at things without glasses.

Broke the part of the frame that holds the lens in place, so I can't even tape it - unless, of course, I tape over the lens. :-)

Pain in the ass.

Oh, well. I've been needing new glasses for about a year, now I have an excuse to get new ones and to get a couple pair this time.

p.s. - and don't any of you think you can sneak around here in my office! I might not see well, but I can hear damned well and I have a gun. I might not be accurate, but I can pull the trigger pretty damn fast and cover a hell of a lot of territory.

12. I care !
To preserve my own sanity - I bought "reading/computer glasses" because when I misplace my prescription glasses I need :eyes:glasses to find my :eyes:glasses!

3. Thank you!
I find it sad that you are the only one, though I am very much thankful for your caring! And if we can have but one person who empathizes with us, then we are indeed lucky.

4. I know that not a single person beyond Friday's Child cares,
or gives a rat's ass, that I am having a hard time seeing, but it's really starting to bother me now. I may have to stop posting in the next half hour or so.

5. Dear Rabrrrrrr
If my glasses broke, I wouldn't be able to even go out to catch the bus. I feel for you, my boy. I, fortunately, have backup contact lenses. Unfortunately, I need reading glasses ON TOP of my contacts. But, again, I know how poor eyesight is such a disability. And why are we not covered for this under our universal health care? Just asking.

6. as a fellow blind as a bat person
I do sympathize with your plight.
I usually wear contacts but sometimes I need to give my eyes a rest and I re-realize just how blind I am. Just call me Ms. Magoo!
Good luck with your new specs tomorrow.
:hi:

16. No company yet.
He's not coming to my house until later this week. :( He's staying with his sister a few extra days (unfortunately for me). Other than that, it sucks. Work is gay. :(

What type of work are you doing this morning? I never ask *what do you do?*

Does he have any idea *how long he will be gone?*

18. It's just busy.
And I don't want to be here. :( Basically, I'm just bitching. I work for a homehealth agency and as a server also. Doing the first one today.

Be gone for deployment?

22. Sweet!
That definitely works! :) I'm kinda used to him being gone now. But it'll be hard since I'll have his attention for a few days then nothing. My trip in April will be a good distraction. Come with me and we'll find some hot men! :D

24. Better make sure exactly WHAT you are aiming at, fella!
Wouldn't want you taking aim at your foot or any other appendage that happened to be waving around in the morning...

:wow:

I actually keep old glasses around in case the contacts get lost and me current glasses break. Yep, I am blind as a bat ad not ashamed to admit it.

Here's hoping the new glasses are speedy AND on sale!
