alcohol gifts suggestions desperately needed
Suggest a bottle of some alcoholic beverage running around $50 as a "thank you" gift. I wish it could be more, but it can't. I would prefer it not be significantly less as the favor is a big one.

2. Hum. Isn't Gray Goose about that price?
It depends on the size of the bottle I guess. But I find that pretty much everyone likes good vodka.

6. it's around $35 in my area
I thought about the Gray Goose but Louisiana has lower alcohol taxes/prices than many states. Probably should have mentioned it upfront. Maybe if it's $75 in most states, it might be more in my price range.

Sounds funny, doesn't it?

12. I'd say a nice single malt scotch
but not knowing what the recipient likes, I'd go to a wine store and ask. You should be able to get an insane bottle of wine for 50 bones.

13. It depends
Have you any idea what this person likes? It's a toughie because some people like one sort of drink and dislike another. I would happily receive a $50 bottle of champagne or white wine or vodka, but saddle me with a bottle of red wine or scotch or whiskey and--yuck!

14. Exactly right; no use springing for a pricey bottle of the wrong stuff.
Rhum Barbancourt Reserve du Domaine is about $50-65 per bottle. Aged 15 years in Limousin oak barrels.

Belvedere Vodka 1.75 liter will run you about $50

Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 year old special will run you just over $50

Other choices are available, but What liquor is more important than the price.

16. well I have a few ideas
He isn't a heavy drinker by any means, and I realize the bottle of whatever will last him all year, but I think he likes the look of a good bottle in the liquor cabinet. He has gone on wine tours so the wine is a possibility also but I don't know how much of it he really drinks when not touring Europe.
