(I live on the MS Gulf Coast. It is lovely here, we have a lot of transplants from Vegas and Reno (now that we have 9 casinos) and a lot of retirees from different parts of the country. I think it's like every fad there is, folks don't want to appear to be out of touch with society so they chose to be part of the "in crowd" or the repukes.
