Yoo-hoo, Haters! Look who's in first place in the NFC East
Let it knaw at ya a little, grind your teeth, and curse to the sky. I know many of you are so obsessed that you pull for "my team and anyone who plays the Cowboys." Well, the Eagles have played the first half of their superbowl, but they have one more shot in Philly.

Yes, it's early, but the Cowboys are coming back. They won't win it all this year, but look out the next year or so. God is once again in his heaven, and tradition always returns to where it belongs.

Yes, curse and scream. Philly fans, don't worry, maybe you can once again get your kicks at a Cowboy lying on your turf paralyzed. Send a message to Andy Reid - this ain't no Campo, this ain't no Gailey, this ain't no fooling around.

We are seeing once again - The Dallas Cowboys are back!

There are two kinds of fans - those who are Cowboy fans, and those who wish they were Cowboy fans.

God Bless Tom Landry and Tex Schramm.

6. My grandpa
who basically lived football his entire life loves defensive struggles, he grew up watching alot of games that were tied at 0-0 or games in which were won 6-0 etc. Alot of low scoring games he would tell me about when I was young.

17. I have nothing against defensive struggles
but the AFC East to my eye has not been about defense struggles just stagnant offenses that couldn't score. That's what set Marino apart. I've watche dthe AFC East for as long as I have been watching the NFL, we get the 'Skins game on one channel and usually the Jets :eyes::shrug: on the other.

I don't want the ghost of Leon Lett sliding along the turf that day.

4. The Eagles were the toughest team the Boys played so far
Edited on Mon Oct-13-03 02:13 PM by VermontDem2004
They lost their first game of the season to backup Doug Johnson. They beat the Giants(which are a good team) and the 1-4 Jets also they beat the 1-5 Cardinals. But I said Dallas would be for real if they can win against Philadelphia which they did.

7. My oh my
Well, I guess it's good to get the boasting in early, because it may not be appropriate later. By my reckoning, my Chiefs still have a chance to go 6-10.

10. Hah! Not a chance
They've got Eastern Oregon, which lost to PLU on Saturday (the same PLU that Linfield so dominated the week before). That's what Homecoming is for: Play a patsy, and watch the blubbering nostalgic alumni whip out their checkbooks.

Well, I checked, and Trinity's only 4-1
How dare they have lost a game! Oh well - that's what playoffs are for.

Mount Union is a perennial power too. They have a great coach who would be a joy to play for.

13. I think the boasting has been going on about the Chiefs
There was an earlier thread about "my chiefs are 6 and 0 baby!"

Yeah, it's boasting, but I sure hear the shit when the Cowboys are losing. So, tit for tat.

Edited on Mon Oct-13-03 03:07 PM by Ishoutandscream
But the other stuff is pure hate. Keep hating and obsessing.

And by the way, the Marlins are going down.

On edit - Landry was a big GOP supporter himself. Do you hate him also?

This may just be the adrenalin rush of a new coach, blah, blah, blah.

Takes at least another year to see if they're for real.

I just happen to like Canada.

I don't wish I was a cowboys fan, I happen to like my team just fine. A classier institution than the hole in the dome team.

26. Cowboys are doing ok... But...
But.... What the heck has god to do with the Cowboys??? Did god come down to you wearing a Cowboys jersey and told you how big a fan he was? Or was that just some voices in your head?

It absolutly stupifies me when I see god brought into the world of sports, crazy!
