2. Thorazine shuffle is something you do
not something you have.

Too expensive for a display-less flash player.
Not to mention that the audio quality of the later generation IPods just plainly sucks. Apple is quickly approaching the no-name level, quality-wise.

5. Rubbish.
It's ability to work with iTunes and ease of use is reason enough to get it, not to mention it's competitive storage per dollar when comparing it to other flash players.

Where are you getting this profound and definitive fact that the audio quality of iPods "just plainly sucks"?

Apple leads the MP3 player (and personal computer) market in design and built quality, and the iPod is routinely the highest ranked MP3 player out there.

Not to mention that it is seconded by practically all important hifi and computer technology mags.
Apple (or rather PortalPlayer - the real manufacturer) has stopped using high-quality components in the IPod about a year ago. Today, the Ipods are at best mediocre in sound quality.

Apple may lead the market, but have you ever bought an Apple product fresh after its initial release? My rule: never buy anything from Apple, unless it has been around for at least six months.

7. I have been an early adopter many a'time...
and I agree, don't buy the first wave of an Apple product. Ever. Learned that after I bought the first iPod mini and the battery held about a 4 hour charge, and now the "new" ones have a battery that's been timed as going 26 hours 20 minutes straight.

Oh well. iPod is still the best choice as far as MP3 players go.

And being an Apple owner for sometime, I can vouch for their personal computers and operating system as well. :)
