2. The one reason I have found against posting these photo threads

is the fear they would turn this place into a popularity contest based on looks. I don't think any of us need high school all over again.

Who the fuck cares whether we are prettier than freepers, or freepers are prettier than us. This is about politics, not a hotness contest.

I think posting photos is a great idea to put a face behind the people we know and interact with so well, but don't see. But please, DU is not a beauty contest.

Well, you knwo when I go to protests, I am always with people with stuff that gets people's attention. Like at the counterinaguration, one of the people with us had a Who wuold Jesus Torture sign and people loved it, and at the march for women's lives, a cardboard Bush cutout. Hmmm reminds me to get something good for the anti war rally next weekend, maybe a simple "FUCK THIS WAR" would do eh.

I got to meet both Kerry and Edwards a few times during the primaries and once during the general election. That was pretty cool. I was also with Kucinich when he spoke at Harvard square during the primary. I don't suppose you were there for that?

Ive met Kucinich. It was pretty cool, my dad took me to a rally in DC and my dad sort of casually ran in to him, it was weird. I got his autograph too, its on my wall with my Gore-Lieberman sign, Kerry sign, and Kucinich sign.

I got a friend of mine who occassionally posts on this board, used to more so, he goes to GWU and interns for Hiliary Clinton, and he went to the DNC and has met a lot of people too. Hopefully, I'll get to have that experience when well now its if I can transfer and major in poli sci. I had a community college orientation today which was good, you can transfer just about anywhere apparently.
