Update on my cat Nightmare
Hi all,

Last week I posted about my cat, Nightmare. She had gone from 6.0 to 5.2 pounds in a month. She's hyperthyroid and arthritic, and it looked like she was nearing the end (she's 15). Well, I am VERY happy to report that she is doing MUCH better. She gained 1/5 of a pound (not much, but any is better than losing weight!), and is MUCH more active! She's been eating and drinking, using her litter box, and moving around the entire apartment (she had just been staying in my bathroom, on the rug there). She even is playing with a new toy I bought for her and Smoke (her son, 14 and hyperthyroid as well).

It's been a rough week taking care of her, but she is doing really well. Just wanted to give an update!

Peace,
Bella

2. Well, I hadn't heard of N's troubles, but that is very good news.
Misty is quietly resting on my lap right now, so I can relate.

7. Thanks MuseRider!
I was really thinking I might have to put her to sleep soon. It's amazing how much better she is in just a week. She's been at death's door 3 times in this past year, and has come back quickly each time. She's quite the fighter.

4. such good news! thanks for the update.
I was with our family cat when he passed at 17, it was hard, but I had a lifetime of memories with him, he came around when I was only 3! We had several scares in the years before it was his time, and I remember how happy we were when he turned it around. It was a gift to get more time with him. Tinker was a great cat, thanks for bringing that memory to mind tonight. I hope you have many more healthy years ahead of you together!

6. Cats really do seem to have 9 lives, don't they?
Hurray for Nightmare (and Smoke, too)! Glad to hear she's feeling better.
