For all those Internet Dating Site mavens
Something strange just happened. A woman I communicated with several times (eventually through regular e-mail) but never met just started up the conversation where it left off out of the blue again after three months of having disappeared.

What does that mean?

1. I'm not an internet dating maven, but my GUESS
is that she met someone, started seeing him, it fell through, and now she's "back to the drawing board", so to speak.

4. So I'm the fallback position?
That's interesting. Seems a bit odd considering we had never actually met; our interaction being text only.

5. Personally, I think she was doing a clean on old e-mails
And thought I was a clever guy she shouldn't have discarded so easily.

At least, I'm going with that for awhile before my inevitable cynicism creeps in.

3. I agree that it could be that she started seeing someone and broke up...
...but it could also be that she's just not big-time into the internet dating thing, and gets weirded-out. But it sounds more like that she started seeing someone and they broke up.

7. Give her the benefit of the doubt.
It could've been temporary amnesia. Or a coma, yeah that's the ticket, a coma.
