most pain ive ever felt in my life...nothing even comes close!

i woke up with the kidney stone in mid-stream and managed to drive my self to the hospital...i was in so much pain i was moaning and banging my head against the wall...so even though i had tons of ppl ahead of me in the emergency room they took me right in thank god! oh the relief when they gave me the morphine.

anyhow...mine passed in about 3 hours. since then i started drinking MUCH MUCH more water!

4. doc said water cleans and flushes your system out...
including the kidneys...although check to see if your area's water is high in calcium...thats def not good for the kidneys.

7. Man, there's NO WAY productivity has increased, all those threads
are evidence there is PLENTY of unused capacity in the system

I guess I'll go back to doing work now...

6. Oh man...
I have been there -- and it wasn't pretty! A few years ago I was trying to flip over in my bed and got a stabbing pain in my kidney area -- then my whole back spasmed like it had never done before. Couldn't sit, couldn't lay down, couldn't stand up straight. The docs thought I had pinched something in my back. It stayed like that for almost two weeks, during which I got around 2 hours sleep a night because the pain was so bad. Came close to hallucinating. The painkillers didn't work -- it finally took a huge dose of Valium to make my back unlock.

Then I started to get blood in my urine. Oops! It wasn't a simple twisted back after all. It took two months, start to finish, for me to pass that damn kidney stone. (And the bladder cramps I got were no picnic either.) When it finally arrived, it was shaped like a "y", a quarter inch long, and felt as sharp as coral.

Shit, no wonder it hurt so much!!! :scared:

10. My dad has had problems with kidney stones a couple of times
in the past. He didn't like them very much, but he seemed to a good job with dealing with the pain. He didn't complain much.
