I think our built environment of hopeless suburbs and endless fry pits have made us a nation dependant on the automobile for existence. Europe actually has an environment that a person can live in, move in, and think in. We just sit on our couches in our air conditioned surburban garages with attached houses getting fat watching reality TV. That just isn't cool.

They got better politics, food, healthcare and history and they are not so ignorant when it comes to world history, geography and culture (we can thank our education system for that).

But you take a cool American against a cool European and the yank is way cooler.
He or she will generally be more adventurous, be more streetsmart and have more of an attitude, elements which can make a person cool.

But having lived in Europe for two years, I voted no. As much trash as they talk about us over there, they love our Levi's, Budweiser, music and movies. They love our free spirit.
