I like the way I use the English language.
If I may stop tooting my own horn long enough to - well - toot my own horn, I am proud of my writing style. I think it's rather distinctive.

None of you are going to reply to this, and it's early in the morning. So... I might as well indulge my ego.

2. I am disappointed that someone replied to this.
I was hoping it would sink into the Archives with barely a whimper.

While I do have a healthy ego, I don't like for a lot of people to know that I have a healthy ego.

6. If this is glory, I'll have to reconsider
the whole "fame and fortune" thing.

3. The English called.
They don't. Further, your language is absolutely devoid of any humor.

8. First of all . . .
. . . the typographical character "-" is not a recognized substitute for the comma. Your use of "-" shows a laziness unacceptable to proper English language scholars.

Second, no apostrophe is need for "its." Putting an apostrophe between the t and s is error.

Third, "I think" preceding "its rather distinctive" is superfluous. We know you think it; otherwise you would not have typed it.

Fourth, you again attempted to substitute the comma with other characters, namely, "..." after the word "So." VERY sloppy.

Finally, you placed a comma after "this" followed by "and." "And" is a connector. Therefore, no comma was needed preceding.

Please, in the future, refrain from tooting your horn in such an embarrassing manner.

Thanks,

Floog

9. Floog, you ignorant slut. First, "it's" is a contraction of "it is."

"it's rather distinctive" = "it is rather distinctive"

If I had said "it's rather distinctive style is something I'm proud of," then you would be correct. Unfortunately, you are wrong in this instance.

Second, I did not claim that my writing style was stylistically perfect; that is an assumption you have made. My only statement was that I am proud of the language I use.

Furthermore, the grammar police are becoming quite lax in their standards if they have allowed you to join their honored ranks.

Please, in the future, refrain - from - replying to - posts - while your head - is... up... your... ass............................

Much love,

epm :D
