over the ocean and the land. Sometimes it is like that. I really believe that one can make friends over the net. Just talking to each other.

I have met more people here that I have felt that I can talk to than I have met for a long time. And it happened so quickly!

have one thing in common. They are liberals and enjoy life. And sometimes it is easier to write about stuff that move you than talk about it. I am a little of an outsider here because I am German and don't life in the States. You guys have the culture and the problems more in common. So there is understanding and sympathy. And that is a big point here in DU

7. I live in a very conservative area.

Most of the people around me are not willing to listen. Yet, I live next door to an air force base and have a state run university in my town, which gives a variety of cultures to the area. But most of the locals refuse to discuss politics.
The people here are funny, intellegent and more than ready to whip out a zinger. They can take a joke and they can laugh at themselves. It's like how my friends used to be-before a majority of them became Republicans.

I can't understand that. What is wrong with those people that they are afraid of others? Of anything that is slightly different?

I have a couple of friends left that still are idealists-just so many are not any longer.

23. Broiler...5 minutes or so per side.

I set my broiler at low - it only has high and low. On the low setting, it might take additional time, but the corn meal is less likely to burn.

This is the recipe, but sometimes I substitute corn meal for the bread crumbs. Both tasty.
