It's not a film of belly-laughs. It's intelligent, witty, and has many nice giggle and smile moments. Which beats the snot out of one bellylaugh plus 89 minutes of drivel anyday (ala the 'remake').
I wish they'd release it on DVD. Then I wouldn't have had to spend a fortnight restoring my degrading laserdisc copy and archiving it onto a DVD...
