Ever hear of "Noni" juice?
I understand that stuff costs upwards to 50 bucks a bottle.

Any testimonials out there?

4. It's used as a nutritional supplement for horses.
My filly's pasture-mate gets a capful with each meal. I'm not quite sure what it's for. Most of the horses at the farm get natural supplements like beet pulp, beer, aloe vera juice, flaxseed and Noni juice.

8. My drummer uses it religiously
He called it "Noonie juice" for a while, which gave us all many good laughs at his expense.

Seriously, only the "Tahitian noni" is $40 a bottle. You can get cheaper stuff at GNC but he swears the Tahitian works the best for his fibromyalgia.

He conned me into drinking some before a gig when I was bone-tired ( i was cooking for 150 that week during the day.) It did NOTHING that night so I thought he was an idiot.

But the AC went out in the camp kitchen the next day and the temp in there was around 105 degrees. I had to send a cook home because her kidneys were vulnerable and she was dehydrating fast. I, meanwhile, was running around like a chicken with my head cut off, not thirsty, and somebody asked me if I was cranking. ha ha. Only then did I remember the Noni. That's my only experience with it, cuz i can't afford the stuff, but drummerboy is a mechanic by day and he swears it's the only thing that keeps him working.

Now I'm REALLY gonna take that nap...

10. I have a really bad rash on the top and side of my feet
I went to the doctor, and he gave me steroid cream for it.

Didn't work.

Also gave me a big ass jar of some icky ointment.

Still not working.

I have to go back on Monday.

In the meantime, I ran into this gentleman during my lunch hour, who noticed the rashes on my foot. He told me that he had went thru the same thing with psoraosis, and Noni juice helped make the rash disappear.

11. Personally - I stay away from steroids, period !
Tahitian Noni is expensive but one of my house-mates thinks it's wonderful stuff. She'll be home in a few hours and I'll ask her opinion about your question.

I going to take a guess {because the doctor gave you a steroid cream}that your skin also itches.

So ... let me ask you ... are there any alternative care or health food stores near you?

DUer Ulysses and I have a running joke -- he has a dog named Scarlett who also is highly allergic.

We call Scarlett "Itchy" and me "Scratchy" :D

I've had rashes all my life -- they just move around on my body.

Last year it was my face.

This year its my feet :(

19. It might be something you're eating
try an elimination diet...wheat, yeast, corn, soy, dairy and eggs are biggies in causing rashes for some.

Try eliminating each for a week. Most people eat a lot of wheat, so that should be the one most suspect. That would include bread, anything with a batter, pastries, stuffing, etc.

If you notice a reduction in your rash during this time, and after a week's exclusion, introduce it back. If the rash gets worse again, you know the culprit. Repeat with the other common offenders.

Wheat/gluten and yeast is what causes mine. I also take Evening primrose oil and fish oil as well, but personally, I find not eating gluten and yeast(with the exception of birthday cakes, or on a special occasion, knowing full well the rash will come back)does the most good.

22. you could try
using grapeseed oil with a few drops of essential oil of peppermint to cool and sooth the itching. Grapeseed oil is the lightest of natural oils that I can suggest, you can find this oil in most supermarkets near the olive oil. You may find essential oils in natural health food stores and both of these oils - peppermint and chamomile shouldn't be expensive.

Grapeseed oil shouldn't stain clothing so apply the mixture lightly to the dry, itchy areas and allow the oil to be fully absorbed before you stretch out on the couch because it will stain furniture.

17. COMPLETE SNAKE OIL
I'm from Hawaii and my neighbor actually owned a noni tree. The fruit is horribly ugly, smells wretched, and tastes horrible.

Ancient Hawaiians would only eat it in times of major famine.

Don't waste your hard earned money.

18. Tastes like shit. But in a poltice I guess
it wouldn't matter. You can get it for around $15 at Costco. I hated it personally.
I drink Xango, another fruit based supplement. The science on it is pretty extensive. It's also a network marketing product so you can get it shipped to you but it's expensive also, a bit cheaper than Tahitian Noni.
It tastes good and is good for a variety of things including skin problems.
